Announcing my book with Jay Abraham
Hello World!
Yes, that's an HTML reference to confirm my geekdom as I write a first post here on Substack. Expect more.
I'm going to be writing about Business, UX, and the intersection of the two. Think of it as UX for Business People and Business for UX People. There's a lot of misunderstanding of the other group and I seek to be that bridge.
I'm also going to be using this space to get my ideas out into the ether to support the book that I'm writing with Jay Abraham… yeah, THAT Jay Abraham (abraham.com).
The book is on the same topic, so there is an amazing synergy of all the things I'm focused on these days.
Jay is famous for his framework of the "3 ways to grow a business:"
1. Get more customers
2. Get them to pay more for your product/service
3. Get them to use your product/service more frequently / or generate referrals
From a Business perspective, if you can do these, (even better, ALL three of them at once!), your business is going to grow.
If you're a Researcher, Designer, Marketer, or Product person, then the work you do should essentially ladder up to one of these three strategies. I'll be using the substack to go deeper into how to actually do that.
To me, it's clear: customer insight drives business innovation.
So, the substack, and the later book, will focus on exactly how to do that. Your thoughts, questions, and responses here will help me not only develop the content for the book, but also to ensure I'm addressing all the relevant questions from this audience.
If this sounds interesting to you, please join me and follow the progress here on Substack.
